JUNGLE ROT Singer Nabs World Record Bear

In the "I can't believe that's real" file goes the latest in news from the vacationing lead singer of Jungle Rot, Dave Matrise. A recent bow hunting trip to Manitoba, Canada has netted him top honors, the Boone and Crockett world record for bear, which is the highest award for bow hunting.

Look at this monster!

While in the woods Matrise saw one of the worlds most majestic creatures and killed it with one arrow to the chest from approximately 15 yards away. A 567lb, 7.5ft tall black bear with a skull the size of a Volkswagon downed with one shot...impressive.

Metallica Rejoin Hunt for Fan's Killer

In 2009 Morgan Harrington was separated from her group of friends and went missing following a Metallica show in Charlottesville, Virginia. Her body was recovered four months later in a field near the venue. She was last seen hitchhiking on a bridge October 17th 2009.

At the time Metallica offered $50,000 reward to help find her attacker, that reward has grown to $150,000 and as James Hetfield states in this youtube video "any information, no matter how small you think it is, could be that crucial piece investigators need to help solve the case."

The FBI says DNA evidence links her case to an assault in Fairfax, Virginia four years earlier, and the bureau released an enhanced sketch of the a possible suspect in her killing. The suspect is described as an African-American male with black hair and facial hair at the time of the 2005 attack. He is about 6 feet tall and was believed to be between 25 and 35 years old at the time of the attack, making him 32 to 42 now.

Information can be conveyed by calling Virginia State Police at 434-352-3467; Fairfax police at 703-385-7959; or the FBI at 800-225-5324.

Tesseract have parted with Vocalist

After the very recent release of their EP Perspective, it is with heavy hearts that vocalist Elliot Coleman and TESSERACT have parted ways.  A statement from bassist Amos Williams can be seen below:
"Sadly, our good buddy Elliot has decided to leave team TesseracT. We'd like to thank Elliot for everything he has done for us. We have loved having him be a part of this beast.
He introduced us to a completely different side of our sound, as well the delights of Pho! Things we will always be grateful for. So, as well as continuing to write and record album 2, we are also on the hunt for that special (shpecial) person to be the new full-time TesseracT vocalist."

NO CONTROL Radio New Music Adds 6-11-12

So I have decided that you might be interested in some of the new additions to the playlist each week here on NO CONTROL Radio. I could be wrong, but if so too bad.

Miss May I - At Heart (Rise)Melvins Lite - Freak Puke (Ipecac)
Whitechapel - Whitechapel (Metal Blade)
Ihsahn - Eremeta (Candlelight)
Nachtblut – Dogma (Napalm Records)
The Ghost Inside – Get What You Give (Epitaph)
Madball – Rebellion Ep (Black and Blue)

Really, the radio industry has been slipping in regards to what guys like me are doing.  Tertiary genres of music like Metal are getting passed by for Indie, Hip Hop, or whatever the flavor is this month. I think we are still driving things around the globe in one way or another, but apparently it is getting tougher and tougher to justify these days, so I want to show you what is going on!
