Marduk Banned from Playing in Minsk

In a report from NAVINY.by Marduk has been ousted from playing any dates in the city of Minsk, Belarus. Their scheduled date for May 22nd will not take place with them as the headliner, but the rest of the tour including Vader and Kataklysm will go on as scheduled, according to Pavel Radzivonaw, a departmental head at the Prosecutor General's Office, unless they violate any of the laws cited against Marduk.
"The band preaches Satanism, which has nothing to do with art. This is an affront to Christian values, they preach the ideas of death, of the Third Reich," he said, describing the band's songs as "destructive."
The office stressed that this was not a case of censorship, but I am not sure how it could be a case of anything else. Authorities do not like their point of view, so they will not allow it to be heard...censorship...

Marduk's new album hits the shelves in the US June 5th and debuts on NO CONTROL Radio Friday night.
