Acacia Strain Release Special Merch to Help Pay for Van

Calling it the TAS Flip t-shirt, this Bevis and Butthead inspired shirt displays what their tweets had shown right after the accident, they definitely still have their sense of humor about the whole thing. Having to cancel the remainder of their tour, the loss of their van and gear, but all the members remain unhurt, so life carries on.

Turning the picture of the van into a $14 t-shirt is a pretty brilliant idea, so you might stuff a stocking with one or two! Get them HERE

Converge Involved in Van Accident

Not again, another van/bus/band wreck incident...at least no one caught fire...caught this one off via Jacob Bannon's Webstagram and MetalSucks.net
After driving all day/evening, we hit a patch of black ice in the mountains of Oregon. We were forced to turn into a highway divider at 40mph in order to avoid sliding under a slew of 18 wheelers. The van spun 180 degrees after impact, and we were left facing the wrong direction on the highway. We spent a few hours prying our bumper off our front wheels. Thankfully, we are rolling again. Bands, be safe put there. Never take anything for granted.
Be safe out there, dammit.

Decrepit Birth Cancel Tour After Van Break In

On their current tour with Obituary, Decrepit Birth have seen the worst the road can throw at them. When their van caught fire last week and it had to be abandoned, you would have figured the worst was over, but now it appears their rental was broken into and their IDs, cash, laptops and a ton of other important stuff was stolen from the band subsequently bringing their tour to a screeching halt. A Statement from the band below:
More bad energy has come to us in the form of a theft last night night in San Francisco. Our rental van had the side window broken out and all of our personal bags with cash, laptop computers, cell phones, passports, and id's were stolen. This was a major blow to go along with our van catching on fire in Canada and having to leave it there to be junked. At this point we will have to regretfully drop from the last few days of tour. The costs are overwhelming at this point, and to continue on would dig an even deeper hole of debt for the band, which we can't afford. We had a great time touring with our brothers in Obituary, Broken Hope, Jungle Rot, and Encrust. These bands we're beyond awesome to us during the past week of issues we've gone through. Thanks to all the fans for coming out and making this such a great tour aside from the bullshit. We gave it our all every night for you, our fans. We're down but not out....
If you feel like donating to our new van fund, you can send your donation via Paypal to decrepitbirth@msn.com We really appreciate that our fans have reached out to us and offered to help, you guys are the best!
