Rolling through the Summer like it was nothing! I tell you I am taking my kid back to marching band this week, and school gets rolling before you know it, we'll be in the middle of Fall in a flash, which of course I am always game for Halloween...I am hoping we get some releases that are decent this year...

I know, I haven't even done a best of the year so far, because i don't actually have a good enough list to take notes on...kinda sad, but good. Why? Because, they can't all be winners, hopefully a down year is just an anomaly! I think it will be...2020 before you know it!

Well, that was trippy. Seriously, Chris Adler? We saw the writing on the wall, but damn, it just seems wrong. Ok, well, we have to just keep moving forward right? 

It has been a weird year for metal honestly, I can't tell if it is just me, or if nothing is really seeming to be very good. I know an album here or there starts to look promising, but then on the first listen...meh. Not sure what it will take to really get me excited about new tunes, I mean, not worried, and actually I think a nice break in the flood is fine for a while...just odd.

Yes, I am a disappointed fan of Game of Thrones, no, I am not going to 'freak out' about it...I am not sure why people get personally butthurt over things like this, as if it were a personal afront to all that is good and right in the world, but honestly it is kind of just a letdown. We all want something legendary to disrupt the typical fare and it rarely does.

Same goes for music. Lately it seems as though we are getting a lot of ok releases, but nothing that will change the world. Hopefully something will blow our minds soon! All the classic bands are releasing stuff soon, so there is at least something...
